What's New at FCPC

The Walk to Emmaus

The Walk to Emmaus is a spiritual retreat week-end geared toward making people stronger disciples of Jesus Christ. It is an ecumenical movement sponsored by the Upper Room which is the United Methodist Publishing House. To date we have had 7 people attend and two more are scheduled for the first part of October. This is a wonderful event and in order to attend you must be sponsored by someone who has already been on the walk. There are two sets of walks per year normally held at a church in the Tulsa area.

If you have any interest to learn more contact one of our Emmaus people: Mark and Cheryl Newman, Peggy and Ken Smith, Kay Smith, Jeremy Troyer and Don Ingle.

Cross Wall

Our cross wall located in the main Narthex continues to grow as people continue to bring crosses of various sizes and designs. This Christmas Season Mardel’s and other stores have their crosses on sale for half price. If you have not seen it you need to come and enjoy its splendor. One larger cross made up of small individual crosses adorns the back side of the cross wall in our dining room.

“The Meal” on Thursday Night

Each week the congregation of FCPC serves a community meal welcome to all who wish to come. This meal is served buffet style and is from 4:30 -6:00. We will not be serving a meal in the month of July but welcome you to join us again in August!
